With Horsham unlikely to lose another game for the remainder of the Wimmera Football League home and away season, Stawell Mitre 10 Warriors could not be blamed for wondering who they will meet in the opening round of finals.
With just four matches remaining in the home and away season, Dale Power's men sit eight points clear over Ararat in second place with Warrack Eagles a further four points and percentage away in fourth.
These two teams appear the only realistic chances of filling third spot on the ladder, with the Eagles having the easier run home to the finals.
The Eagles will take on the struggling Minyip-Murtoa tomorrow before a round 16 bye, and will then meet the Rats in a clash that could decide both teams' future. Warrack is likely to chalk up a final round win over cellar-dwellers Horsham United.
The road is a little tougher for Ararat who tackle United tomorrow but are then forced to travel to Nhill before its meeting with the Eagles. They will then host Stawell in the final home and away round.
While the Rats' four point buffer may be enough, there is no doubt Warrack will pull out all stops in pursuit of the precious double-chance.
However, Warriors will not want to get too far ahead of themselves with a potential danger match against Dimboola on the cards tomorrow.
The visitors will be without Power tomorrow after the coach revealed this week that a re-injured hamstring was likely to keep him on the sidelines for the next two matches.
Power, who missed Saturday's win over Horsham Saints, said he had hurt it again on Tuesday night at training.
``I probably expect (to miss) a couple now,'' Power said.
``At my age it is a bit of a setback.''
Power is likely to be joined on the sidelines by Travis Nicholson (foot) and Julian Carr (knee) again tomorrow, with seven players named on the interchange bench.
Power said young Fred Greene, who has been in stellar form in the reserves this season, was likely to get his first senior call-up of the year.
``Fred Greene is right in the forefront of our minds,'' Power said.
``He has not played seniors in well over a year so he deserves a chance and I think we are leaning Fred's way a bit.''
Damian McDonald, after two matches in the reserves this season, is another being considered for selection.
Round 15 clashes will see Minyip-Murtoa tackle Warrack Eagles and Horsham Saints host Nhill tomorrow before Sunday's clash between Ararat and Horsham United at Alexandra Oval.
