Navarre tackles Lexton Plains Football League ladder leaders Rokewood-Corindhap tomorrow in a clash that could help shape the rest of their season.
A win for Navarre, who teeter narrowly inside the top five could give their finals hopes a massive shot in the arm, with clashes against Ararat Eagles and Lexton set for the remaining two weeks of the home and away season.
Navarre is expected to win these final two matches and remains a good chance to secure a finals berth.
However, a big showing against the undefeated Rokewood-Corindhap is expected from joint coach Ben Martin, with victory almost ensuring them a top five finish.
Martin, who is likely to start in the centre along with Damien Scott, Nic Murphy and Louis Hannett to try and limit the supply to the Rokewood forwards, said he had similar confidence to what he had in the lead up to the Skipton game.
``I am definitely looking forward to this game,'' he said.
``I just feel we match up against them pretty good,'' he said.
Martin said his team needed to keep its concentration for the entire four quarters of the game to reverse their loss earlier in the season. On this occasion they lost by 27 points after matching it with Rokewood for much of the afternoon.
Brian Thomas will be missing from the clash tomorrow, a player who was influential on opposition forward James McNamee last time the teams met. Thomas held McNamee to just one goal for the afternoon in a stellar display.
Martin expected Heath Hemley to get the first crack tomorrow at containing the league leading forward, who has kicked 63 goals this season.
Martin also believed influential ball winner Tom Blackford would be out of the side due to Victoria Country representative duties.
``He was the difference last time we played them so with Boof (Brian Thomas) and Blackford out it sort of evens things up,'' he said.
Bryce Tickner, who has been in good form for North Ballarat, has been named in Navarre's team.
Ararat Eagles will be attempting to repeat its round eight win against Lexton, when the two meet again tomorrow.
Skipton is at home to Carngham-Linton, with the Emus form anything but at the height expected.
The Emus hold a four win margin over Carngham-Linton in 32 meetings, but that will not come into play during the game.
The Saints are building up to another finals campaign.
Justin Porter has missed the past three matches, but expects to return for this game.
Illabarook will be too good for Natte-Bealiba, and will once and for all kill the Swans finals aspirations.
